The Level 2 certificate in food safety qualification has been developed to address the growing need to make learning more relevant to specific business environments and meet the National Occupational Standards. The CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety provides a flexible syllabus which enables training to be tailored to meet specific needs.

Everyone who works with food has a special responsibility for safeguarding the health of consumers and to ensure that the food they serve or sell is perfectly safe to eat.

What does the courses cover?

Level 1 - £200 per course + £10 per person:

Level 2 - £250 per course + £15 per person:

• Cooking, chilling and re-heating

• Premises & equipment
• HACCP and Safer Food Better Business

Level 3 - £750 per course + £80 per person:

• Introduction
• Legislation
• Applying and monitoring good hygiene practice
• Temperature control
• Workplace and equipment design
• Waste disposal, cleaning and disinfection
• Pest control
• Personal hygiene of staff
• Contribution to staff training
• Implementation of food safety management procedures

Our Trainer

Our course director (who delivers most of the courses) is a very experienced trainer. He has previously worked in hospitality Management, as a regional trainer and an area training co-ordinator which is how he relates the courses to all levels of staff and management in such a professional manner and achieves excellent pass rates.
